Adoption Program
Screened Adoptive
Homes
It is our
belief that animal companions should not be placed in a home until the home and
adopting family have been screened to ensure a proper "fit". We require an
application be completed and submitted; a meet-and-greet with the animal and all
members of the potential adoptive family (including pets); and a home visit be done prior to
adoption approval.
How Do I Apply?
Using the left navigation bar, link
to Adoption Process to read about our policies.

Open and print our Adoption Application and fill it out
completely. Partially completed applications will not be reviewed. You may send
your completed application to us via mail, email, or fax. The in-person
interview and home study will be completed after your written application is
submitted. Once the application process is
completed we will contact you regarding our decision.

Sometimes it is necessary to request a specific profile of an animal companion
to ensure the relationship will "work". If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat
with specific characteristics (i.e., size specific, gender specific, age
specific), then please contact us and we can put you on a Wait List. This will
allow us to contact you immediately should an animal companion come to our
attention that fits your requested profile. Ensuring a proper "fit" between
human and animal companions will benefit all.
