So, How is Hobo Doing?

Hobo's Forever Home
As told by Hobo's new family

After spending a little over 4 months with his wonderful foster mom's ( we call them Angel Mom's ) Hobo came to live with us on August 23rd 2006. Hobo's Angel Moms did an awesome job of working with him to gain his trust and show him he could love people and trust them, too. They also found he was a fast learner and taught him tricks and basic commands. It was like getting a wonderfully behaved, pre-trained dog, and we made some great new friends in the bargain!  We love you guys- thanks for what you did for Hobo and for us!  Also a big thanks to Shawndra for her communication with Hobo during his rescue time to ease his fears, and with our cats and Hobo prior to his coming home to help ensure a successful integration.

After our multiple visits with Hobo we were very excited to have him come to stay for good.  There was a period of adjustment as Hobo got to know his new home and 4 new feline siblings.  His foster home also had 4 cats, so it wasn't much of a stretch for him to respect their territory and they quickly learned he wasn't going to pester them.  He also very quickly learned that he had our hearts and that love is something there is always plenty of.  After being without a dog in the house for about 2 years, it was so great to have one in the house again.  Dogs are such great souls with their unconditional love.  Hobo has added so much to our lives, I just knew he was the dog for us, the moment I saw his picture, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to get this wonderful boy.

We have had many fun and humorous adventures in getting to know Hobo over the past 5 months, like how much he loves to play in the water, how funny he is with his squeaky toys, how he goes wacky over a certain treat, and how he loves to cuddle. He is a great companion and friend.  We have many great pictures and videos of Hobo that we hope to be able to share with you so everyone can enjoy how much fun he is.  We are so grateful to Kindred Souls and all of the volunteers involved in Hobo's rescue for all of the hard work they did to make it possible for him to come and be part of our family. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts.
